Matt Hume, the head coach of UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, confirmed on Inside MMA that his fighter suffered a torn labrum. Johnson was forced to pull out of a planned title defense against John Moraga in April at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.Hume stated that "Mighty Mouse" would likely be sidelined for a minimum of 12 weeks. The 26-year-old successfully defended his crown against John Dodson in January.
The UFC replaced the Johnson-Moraga fight with a new bout, meaning that Moraga will likely still receive a title shot when the champion returns.
