Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans snapped a two-fight losing skid, scoring a split decision victory over Dan Henders on Saturday night at UFC 161: Evans Vs. Henderson.Following losses to Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight title and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, "Suga" knew that he needed a victory in Winnipeg.
"This feels real good," Evans said.
After getting dropped in the first, Evans asked his corner what happened, to which he responded, "I thought the referee kicked me or something."
"(Henderson's power) was surprising," he added. "Some punches would have more power than some other ones."
Evans out-landed Henderson 49-47 and scored a takedown, but had nine other takedown attempts stopped by the former Olympic wrestler.
