Former LSU football player Shawn Jordan earned the biggest win of his MMA career, finishing Pat Barry in just under a minute Saturday night at UFC 161: Evans Vs. Henderson.Jordan landed a pair of stiff uppercuts that wobbled Barry, knocking him down and pouncing. He followed up and the referee was forced to step in and call him off.
During the build up to the fight, Jordan (15-4) and Barry displayed their level of friendship, but Jordan put that to the side because it was business.
"This is a huge victory," he said. "But it is bittersweet because of Pat. But, that's our job."
Jordan has now won two straight and is 4-1 in his last five.
