Best Buy blows it for some online shoppers
Best Buy is being seen as a holiday Grinch by some of its online customers. Just days before Christmas, the retailer sent emails to some folks telling them their orders have been canceled.
Shopper Robert Turinske told KARE-TV he purchased a laptop computer via BestBuy.com on Cyber Monday -- November 28. He said he was going to give it as a Christmas gift.
'Tis the season to return gifts
On December 21 -- just four days before Christmas -- he said he received an email from Best Buy saying it did not have his computer and would be stocking any more by Christmas.
Turinske says he’s not going to shop with the company anymore.
Still need a cheap flight?? There's time!
In a statement to CNN, Best Buy said, "Due to overwhelming demand of hot product offerings on BestBuy.com during Thanksgiving weekend and the following week, we have encountered a situation that affected redemption of less than one percent of our customers' online orders during that timeframe. The challenges related to this situation are being addressed. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and are providing e-Gift Cards to the affected customers."
