Chael Sonnen and Kenny Florian are two different fighters, but when it comes to hosting UFC Tonight they gel well together. Florian has no problems sharing the anchor duties with the ever vocal Sonnen."Chael's crazy but he's a funny guy and a fun guy to work with," said Florian to MMA Mania. "We have a good time and we don't always agree on things, but that's the cool thing because we get to discuss it on the show and have differing opinions."
It was February of last year that Sonnen became a co-host of the 30 minute program alongside Florian. The duo host UFC Tonight, which airs every Thursday on FUEL TV at 10 p.m. ET.
Sonnen holds the No. 1 contender status in the light heavyweight division and can be seen on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter coaching opposite of champion Jon Jones. They headline UFC 159 on April 29 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Florian officially retired in May 2012 per doctors' recommendations after back problems and numbness in his right leg. In his final fight, he lost via decision to José Aldo for the featherweight championship in October 2011.
"Chael's so good at what he does," said Florian. "He works hard and it's just fun to work with him."
