The challengers to new UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman continue to line up, as Vitor Belfort has thrown his name into the hat - again.Belfort made it known earlier this week that he felt he was the deserving next contender.
Weidman upset Anderson Silva for the belt Saturday night at UFC 162: Silva Vs. Weidman, and "The Spider" stated he had no desire for a rematch.
That, of course, could change, but if Weidman needs a challenger, "The Phenom" is ready.
"Congratulations, you are the new champion. Next challenger is me! Let's do it," Belfort wrote on Twitter. "(Dana White) is my time (for a rematch)."
Belfort previously lost to Silva via first round knockout, and White appeared hesitant to do a rematch. With Weidman now the champion, that might change things.
