Round 1: Early feeling out process, as both fighters are guys who enjoy throwing spinning kicks and attacks. Huge, quick and powerful kick thrown by Cruickshank that misses. Cruickshank really damaging the lead leg with some kicks. It appears Makdessi has caused some damage around the right eye area. Stiff left jab from Makdessi as Cruickshank comes spinning in. Exchange of spinning back kicks and we have a fight, as these two have closed the distance and are looking to exchange. Overhand right followed by a kick from Makdessi. Spinning back kick to the body, and this has been all Makdessi so far with 90 seconds left.
