Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson
Round 1: Very intense Evans from the start. Evans jumping around, looking to avoid that devastating "H-bomb." Henderson comes in and land a pair of quick rights. Evans with a right and shoots, but doesn't go all-in for the takedown. Evans peppers the head of Henderson and moves, avoiding any damage from "Hendo." Attempt at a big right from Hendo is blocked. Evans ties up, but misses a wild right on the separation. Hendo connects and drops Evans, continuing to apply pressure. Evans is back up, but a bit wobbled. Evans appears to be back to normal, but you have to wonder how much it hurt him.
Round 2: Evans' corner told him to go for the takedown this round, so it will be interesting to see if he can, as Hendo's corner told him he couldn't be taken down. Evans, right on cue, scores a takedown with his strength. Evans catches him with a right, but Henderson answers back and we have a fight. Henderson catches Evans coming in, but "Suga" continues to push forward. Overhand right by Evans misses, as Henderson lands a stiff left jab. Evans attempts for a takedown, but gets tossed aside by Hendo. Evans catches Hendo up against the fence with a pair of rights and drops for a takedown, but gets denied.
Round 3: Evans storms out, hurting Hendo with a flurry of shots and backing out of any danger. Evans doing a nice job of controlling Henderson despite being denied on a takedown attempt. He has him tied up against the fence and can't unleash his heavy right. Combo from Evans lands to the body. Just over 90 seconds left, and some heavy breathing from the mouth of Henderson. Hendo lands with several short strikes inside the clinch, as Evans answers with lefts. Henderson tees off with a right that misses and Evans lands a left jab.
