Roland Delorme vs. Edwin Figueora
Round 1: Large ovation for Delorme, who hails from Winnipeg and is the hometown boy. Quickly he clinches and scores a takedown. Delrome to the back, locking up the body with his legs and looking for a rear-naked choke. Figueora moves to guard but gets his arm stuck in a potential armbar, to which Figueora rolls and gets free. Figueora now on top, hammering down with big rights and forcing Delorme to shield himself. Nearly a heel hook locked in by Delorme, to which Figueora rolls into side control. Delrome does some damage inside a modified crucifix, and takes the back yet again. Tight body lock by Delorme, which includes his right arm being tied up. Nasty neck crank by Delorme, who releases it and unloads to the face. More pressure to the neck area, but Delrome isn't able to lock in the choke yet.
Round 2: Delorme takes him down and is working hard for another submission, and Figueroa throws on a triangle. Delorme stands up, tries to shake him, and does enough to get free and move into side control. Delorme takes the back again and has a body lock on, again, and is looking to free the hands and secure a choke - again. Figueroa gets to the top position and does some damage hammering down, avoiding a possible armbar, as well. Delorme with a nice transition and back to the back/body triangle position.
Round 3: Figueroa throwing some big rights, and Delorme scores with a takedown, as he will have none of the power of Figueroa. More submission work for Delorme, who applies a standing body triangle as Figueroa gets to his feet. Figueroa flips him off and gets free, but eats a right and a knee to the body. Delorme is throwing some punches, but just to set up his takedown, which he scores on again with two minutes left. Figueroa moves to top position and hammers down some big punches, as Delorme is hurt. However, not enough time left to finish it for Figueroa.
Roland Delorme def. Edwin Figueroa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
