Round 1: Healy comes swooping in with a left-right combo. Left uppercut by Nurmagomedov stops Healy for a brief moment, showing “Bam Bam” his power right off the start. Healy looking to make this ugly, while Nurmagomedov tends to be more precise with his offense. Healy swinging with everything he has, lefts, rights to the head and body. Another step-in uppercut lands by Nurmagomedov, as does a kick. Healy back, charging forward with lefts and rights. Such a contrasting style it is very interesting to see. Flying knee by Nurmagomedov stuns Healy, as does another uppercut. Healy’s face is already starting to show some damage and Nurmagomedov appears to be sensing blood. Big left lands, and a big left uppercut just misses. Nurmagomedov must have seen something in watching film, as he has thrown that step-in uppercut countless times. Nurmagomedov with two takedowns to seal the opening round in his favor.

Nurmagomedov goes back to the clinch, as he appears to have slowed dramatically from the start of this round. One more takedown by Nurmagomedov, possibly stealing this round in the waning moments.
Round 3: Healy denies a takedown attempt and goes to the body with his striking. This time, Healy has no chance to stop the takedown, as Nurmagomedov powers through with a double-leg. Healy possible looking for a submission, as his corner yells at him to stand up. Nurmagomedov on top, doing a little damage – enough to keep the ref from standing them up as we approach three minutes. Healy gets to his feet, and Nurmagomedov scoops him up, walks across the cage with Healy on his shoulder and slams him down. Nurmagomedov, looking the fresher fighter, works to advance his position and impose his will. Big lefts and rights now from Nurmagomedov, who is in complete control. A win would do wonders, a finish could really vault him up the standings.
