Our second straight lightweight contest will pit Renee Forte (xxx) against John Makdessi (xxx). The referee will be Todd Ronald Anderson. Forte competed at middleweight on TUF: Brazil and has won eight of his last 10. Makdessi has won his last two and 11 of his last 13.
Round 1: Nice exchange of head kicks by these two, and Makdessi fires off a spinning back kick that lands flush. Makdessi catches him with a left coming in too strong and this one is over. Makdessi catches Forte, who drops face-first to the canvas. Makdessi pounces, but it appeared as if the punches were forcing Forte to move. He looked out from the first one and ate several more.
