Time Warner Cable will sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. for five races the remainder of this season as well as increasing its previously announced sponsorship of Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kasey Kahne.
Earnhardt will carry the TWC logo on his No. 88 car at Richmond this weekend and then for the Chase races at Chicagoland, New Hampshire, Kansas and Charlotte.
National Guard, Earnhardt’s primary sponsor, would fill in for the unsponsored races the rest of the year.
TWC already had committed to four races annually for Kahne for 2013, 2014 and 2015. It will increase that to six races in 2013 and then five each in 2014 and 2015.
Time Warner Cable also will collaborate with Hendrick Automotive Group as a marketing partner.
Kahne, primarily sponsored by Farmers Insurance (22 races) and Great Clips (10 races), has full sponsorship for every event for 2014.
No sponsorship for Earnhardt has been announced for 2014 but it is expected that the National Guard will return for the majority of the season.
