Martin Truex Jr., who has competed in 205 races since his most recent victory, led the final Sprint Cup Series practice Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Truex turned a lap of 188.383 mph around the 1.5-mile track to pace the final 55-minute practice session.
While drivers got 6.5 hours of testing Thursday, they had none Friday as rain washed out all track activity. Some teams changed cars since the Thursday test, and Saturday's two sessions — the first one 60 minutes, the second 55 minutes — was their only preparation time for Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400.
Following Michael Waltrip Racing's Truex on the speed chart for the final practice were Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin.
Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, Paul Menard and Greg Biffle rounded out the top-10
Kahne led the first practice, followed by Biffle and Busch.
In the final practice, the drivers with the best top-10 lap average in the final session were Busch, Martin, Kevin Harvick, Truex and Menard.
No one hit the wall during the Saturday practice sessions. Denny Hamlin and David Reutimann had spins but did not hit anything.
The 267-lap race is scheduled to go green at 3:16 p.m. ET today
