Dancia Patrick didn’t take offense to Kevin Harvick’s commentsabout her and her relationship with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. following the Sprint Unlimited on Saturday night.
After winning the race, Harvick started his postrace news conference with a reference to all the attention on Patrick and her new romance with Stenhouse Jr.

“The biggest thing is how are we going to get Danica and Ricky on the front page tomorrow?” Harvick said.
“I missed all you guys because you were all busy being TMZ the other day (at NASCAR Media Day). So now you all have to talk to me and I can be a complete (jerk).”
Patrick laughed when asked about it Sunday after qualifying.
“I know Kevin really well, and so does Ricky,” Patrick said. “We both are friends with Kevin. So I’m imagining that it’s like a big brother thing, kind of joking around.
“Also, I think people that we’re closer friends with, or I am closer friends with, also try to protect us and protect me and say, ‘Leave ’em alone’ and things like that.”
Patrick will be teammates with Harvick next year at Stewart-Haas Racing. Richard Childress, Harvick’s current team owner, has said Harvick will leave his team after this season for SHR.
“I like everything about Kevin,” Patrick said. “I have been friends with him since my first year. I really like him. I really like DeLana (Harvick).”
