73-year-old woman arrested in drug bust for pot possession
CRAIG COUNTY, Okla. - A 73-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday during a Craig County drug bust.
Darlene Mayes, of Vinita, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept and sold, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Officials at the sheriff's office say a warrant was served at Mayes' home Monday night after an ongoing investigation, which included authorities performing surveillance on the house.
Officials say Mayes had $277,000 in cash at her home at the time of her arrest, as well as five pounds of pot and several guns.
