A disgruntled Florida man allegedly pulled a gun on an air-conditioner repairperson for his supposed unsatisfactory work, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Police arrested Stan Nguyen, of Deltona, at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, as temperatures hovered around 90 degrees. The hot-headed 54-year-old reportedly accused the repairman, Sean Hickman, of destroying his air conditioning unit.
"I'm in fear for my life," Hickman told a 911 operator, according to WFTV. "If you guys don't get your butts over here, he will (kill me), you know what I'm saying? I'm not screwing around, dude, this guy just pulled a gun on me."
At one point, Nguyen attempted to fire his safety-locked weapon at the ground. When the gun did not fire, the homeowner removed the safety, forcing his hired repairman to take cover, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
Nguyen was displeased with Hickman issuing him a $109 invoice for a unit that did not properly function.
The repairman walked away unharmed.
