UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis’ wish for a speedy return to the Octagon hit a road block Saturday night after UFC 164.
Pettis, who earned a submission win over Benson Henderson, suffered a knee injury in the opening round of action.
The knee injury, which came to the opposite leg that he hurt while training for Jose Aldo, could derail Pettis’ plan to face Aldo in a title vs. title fight. “Showtime” called out the UFC featherweight champion immediately following his win.
