Bellator 106 broke records when it came to viewers, but attendance was a different story. The total attendance was 6,596 with 2,407 being complimentary tickets. It comes to a little over a third of the fans getting in for free.
The California Department of Consumer Affairs said the gate was about $350,000.
Originally set to be Bellator’s pay-per-view debut, the promotion aired the event on free TV when Tito Ortiz suffered a neck fracture. The November 2 card scored 1.1 million viewers.
