Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney has lots of information about their first PPV, but details are being kept quiet until a media conference call on August 5. Still, Rebney was able to shed a few details about the upcoming card."The reality is we're not in the business to do pay-per-views every month," said Rebney to Sherdog. "That's not our model. Ours has always been a free TV model fueled by Spike Network. We'll do one pay-per-view, than there will be a long period before we do another one. It's a big show with a lot of meat on the bone."
At Bellator 97, it was revealed that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson would debut for the promotion opposite Tito Ortiz as the PPV headliner. Both are former UFC light heavyweight champions, with Ortiz coming out of retirement for this one. It marks Jackson's first fight since leaving the UFC in January.
Rebney continues that the PPV will be three hours and Spike TV will air the prelims.
The event is November 2 from the Long Beach Arena in California.
We will have Live Coverage Starting at 6:30 CT Tonight for UFC On FOX 8!
