Former champion Dan Henderson has went from the No. 1 contender to someone riding a two-fight losing skid without ever competing for the belt.Saturday night, Henderson was dealt a second straight decision defeat, falling to Rashad Evans at UFC 161: Evans Vs. Henderson. Earlier this year, Lyoto Machida scored a win over "Hendo."
"This one I can swallow a little bit easier than the last one," said Henderson, who was visibly upset about hearing Machida's name called. "Rashad is a tough guy; he stood there and fought me."
Henderson dropped the former UFC light heavyweight champion in the first, but was unable to secure the finish.
"I have nobody to blame but myself," he added. "I slowed down in the third round. I should have got a little more active.
"I felt I hurt him in the first round. He is a tough guy and is hard to finish."
