Dan Henderson lost his chance at the UFC light heavyweight title, and apologized to his fan base for his performance Saturday night. The former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion was defeated by Lyoto Machida in the co-main event of UFC 157: Rousey Vs. Carmouche."Apologize to my fans for a boring fight, won't happen again," Henderson posted on Twitter. "I appreciate the support...be back soon!"
During the post-fight press conference, Henderson stated his desire to fight more often in 2013. He did not step inside the Octagon at all last year, waiting for a shot at the title before suffering a knee injury.
Prior to Saturday, his last fight came in late 2011 when he defeated former UFC champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
