UFC president Dana White didn’t agree with the stoppage in the UFC 164 co-main event between former UFC heavyweight champions Frank Mir and Josh Barnett.
Barnett delivered a nasty knee that dropped Mir and the ref stepped in before any further damage could be done.
Mir, however, seemed to be fine to continue, as he bounced right back up and protested the decision. White agreed with Mir on Twitter.
“(Expletive) ridiculous stoppage!!!!” White wrote. “The guys with experience make mistakes. That guy had no business being in the Co Main event!”
Rob Hinds was the referee on a card with veterans Herb Dean and Yves Lavigne also officiating matches.
