Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans “verbally” agreed to a fight later this year, but UFC president Dana White isn’t making anything official yet.
White, appearing on the post-fight show for UFC 164 Saturday night, stated they are in talks to put the two together for November’s UFC 167 card.
“I started to talk to them about it,” he said. “We’ve talked about a couple of options and I’ll get together with Lorenzo (Fertitta) and Joe Silva, and we’ll figure it out next week.”
Sonnen is coming off a convincing victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, while Evans scored a win vs. Dan Henderson in his most recent outing.
