UFC president Dana White holds Boston near and dear to his heart. The promotion will return to the city in August with the first-ever card on FOX Sports 1.White, while admitting there are still a few fights away from putting things together, told reporters to expect a huge event.
"I'm telling you, it's going to be the best television card we've ever done," White said. "FOX has big, crazy plans for that week."
The event will be grouped with a preseason NFL game hosted by the New England Patriots, while bitter rivals the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees meet at Fenway Park that same Saturday.
"It's a pretty cool weekend (we have planned)," White stated.
The show takes place from the TD Garden on August 17, the day the network launches.
