UFC president Dana White, during a Q&A session prior to the weigh-ins on Friday, discussed his stance on a male fighter coming out in the future. White stated that he would welcome them with open arms, and believes the rest of the locker room would, as well.
"Most of the guys that are in this sport are really good people," White said. "Some of our guys (White included) have said some things that make it look like we're homophobes, but we're not and we've apologized."
White also stated that if a fighter refused to face a gay opponent, "I'd fix it."
