Former UFC lightweight contender Diego Sanchez failed to make weight, but he did enough in the eyes of the judges Saturday at UFC On FUEL TV: Silva vs. Stann to captured a decision victory over Takanori Gomi. Following the victory, Sanchez made it known that he has his next opponent in mind, as he told the post-fight show on FUEL TV.
"Nate Diaz," he said. "I want to be the first one to say I beat both of the Diaz brothers. I got the big brother (Nick), I want the little one next."
Sanchez (24-5) has been very critical of both Nick and Nate Diaz via Twitter over the recent months. He defeated Nick Diaz back in 2005 via decision, improving to 14-0 at the time.
An future fight with Nate Diaz (16-8) will have to wait, as he is locked in a bout with Josh Thomson next month at UFC On FOX: Henderson Vs. Melendez.
