Forrest Griffin made a living inside the Octagon, but the UFC hall of famer calls parenting the most difficult part of life.

“You have to reprioritize your life when you have a kid,” said Griffin to the Daily Miner. “It’s not about you anymore and honestly, I really like it when it’s about me. You can’t step away from parenting.”

The Ultimate Fighter is when fans first got a look at Griffin. He defeated Stephan Bonnar in the finals of a classic UFC fight. Both men were given contracts based off their performance.

Griffin retired after several nagging injuries caused him to pullout of back-to-back fights. He’s 19-7 and held the UFC light heavyweight title briefly.

His last fight was a win over Tito Ortiz in August 2012, which concluded their trilogy.
