The former UFC lightweight champion will compete inside Madison Square Garden at Grapple at the Garden on December 1 from New York City.
“After attending Grapple at the Garden as a fan last year, it is an honor for me to now be able to compete at MSG,” Edgar said. “Following a long absence, I am very excited by this unique opportunity to compete on a wrestling mat once again, and it will be even more special to match up against my friend, Phillipe Nover. I also look forward to the day when all mixed martial artists are permitted to compete in MMA inside The World’s Most Famous Arena.”
Team Renzo Gracie, represented by both Edgar and Nover, will take on Team Joe Warren in a series of matches. Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, Shawn Bunch, David Branch and others will be in action.
