UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre didn't feel as though Johny Hendricks was a worthy challenger earlier this year. His sentiments changed after Hendricks bested Carlos Condit Saturday night at UFC 158: St-Pierre Vs. Diaz."I want to fight the best guy and I think that's Johny Hendricks right now," said GSP, during the post-fight show on FUEL TV.
Hendricks was very adamant about wanting St-Pierre next, saying he would hire a referee and fly to his home if he needed to settle it. GSP, who bested Nick Diaz, didn't want to set a date yet for the match.
"I don't know when," he said. "I haven't taken a break since I came back from knee surgery. I need a vacation."
Hendricks also suffered a left hand injury in his war with Condit, so he could be sidelined for an extended period.
