The undisclosed medical issue that caused Bellator to remove Joe Warren from competing earlier in the month is over. The Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation cleared the former Bellator champ earlier in the day.
Warren, a coach on Fight Master, was supposed to take on Nick Kirk in the Season 9 featherweight tournament. That fight is being aimed for Bellator 101 on September 27.
The commission said Warren was cleared once he completed a test administered by a neurologist to ensure his safety.
It’s believed the medical issue was when Warren recently suffered a knockout blow while training.
