Diaz and Gray Maynard were moved into the main event role for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale, which takes place later this month, after Anthony Pettis was forced out of his December UFC lightweight title fight with Josh Thomson.
The original TUF 18 Finale headliner between UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez was shifted to fill that role.
