UFC hall of famer Randy Couture knew that UFC president Dana White was going to be annoyed with his decision to sign with Spike TV and take part in the new Bellator reality show. It aggravated White enough that he claimed Couture would never return."My biggest concern was my son," said Couture on Inside MMA. "I didn't want to do anything that was going to negatively impact his future in the sport. It looks as if that's going to be just fine. He's his own man with his own style. He does everything right and for all the right reasons."
Randy's son Ryan has his first UFC fight against Ross Pearson. They meet at UFC on FUEL TV 9 on April 6.
Ryan comes in after going 6-1 for Strikeforce and rides a four fight win streak. Pearson won his last fight after coaching opposite on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes with George Sotiropoulos.
Fight Master: Bellator MMA begins filming in a few weeks and will air over the summer on Spike TV with Randy as one of the coaches.
