Trevor Smith and Ed Herman engaged in a 15-minute war that scored early "Fight of the Night" honors at UFC On FOX: Johnson Vs. Moraga Saturday night.Following the announcement of Herman as the split-decision winner, UFC president Dana White revealed some interesting news.
"Smith had a broken hand in the fight which makes him even more impressive!!!!" White posted on Twitter.
Smith was making his Octagon debut following a loss to Tim Kennedy in Strikeforce. Herman's last bout also took place in Strikeforce, as he moved over for a one-time appearance, falling to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza.
