Bobby Green has agreed to step in for Jamie Varner and meet Pat Healy at UFC on FOX 9.
Varner confirmed news of a torn rotator cuff, forcing him out of the December card.
“I’ll be fighting on the December card against Pat Healy,” Green posted on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
No word yet on if the bout is official from the UFC. If so, it would be part of the prelims on a night when UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson takes on Joseph Benavidez.
Green (21-5) has won six straight fights, including a recent TKO over James Krause. Three of his wins were via submission, including a win earlier this year vs. Jacob Volkmann.
