Several years back, WWE chairman Vince McMahon wanted to book a WrestleMania match with the face of the UFC, president Dana White."He wanted to do that one time," said White during the pre-fight UFC 158 media scrum. "Vince wanted to fight me. Swear to god. He called me up and said, 'We can either do it in the UFC or let's do it at WrestleMania.' And I said, 'You are crazy.'"
That conversation would be as far as the match would materialize. The proposal was about seven years ago and with McMahon pushing 67, the odds of it happening grow further as time passes.
It was the first time White had mentioned a potential meeting between the two. He would call McMahon crazy for wanting the fight and believed he meant to fulfill the request.
McMahon stepped inside a WWE ring a few weeks back, but his work was limited as he's coming off hip surgery last month.
