The San Francisco 49ers aren’t interested in bringing back wide receiver Randy Moss in 2013, according to a report by ProFootballTalk.com.
Citing an unnamed league source, the report said the Niners made it clear at the Scouting Combine that Moss would not be retained.

On Twitter Saturday night, Moss indicated that his time as a member of the 49ers was up, writing, "Wished we could've finished the job!! thanks for the opportunity an good luck in the future 9ers."
Moss put up mediocre numbers in 2012, though he was used in a limited role much of the season. When Mario Manningham was injured late in the year, Moss got more playing time and started all three playoff games, but he never made an impact. He posted more than 50 receiving yards in only one game out of 19.
Coming off a season in which he caught 28 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns, Moss, 36, likely will find a limited market for his services as a free agent.
Although he was on good behavior through the regular season—he was even lauded for his leadership by 49ers players—he created a stir at the Super Bowl by declaring himself the greatest receiver in NFL history.
