We start the show with ballyhoo! It is the Bo Dallas Homecoming, complete with balloons and party hats!
Bo hasn't been seen in about a month since defeating Sami Zayn, which is also the last time we saw Sami. Bo is so happy to be back and has a slideshow to show us his trip around the world. We see him posing with the title in Montreal and Cambodia, where he defended the NXT Title against Justin Gabriel in front of 300,000 people.
Bo brought cookies out for everyone in his best Oprah impersonation, which brought out NXT GM JBL. JBL told him he is proud that Bo is the face of NXT, which brought out Sami Zayn. Sami mentions that he was suspended by JBL. Bradshaw pointed out how disrespectful he was being by interrupting both the champ and the GM.
JBL agreed to reinstate Sami after pointing out that Sami took his suspension and swallowed his medicine like a big boy. Bo called Sami a sore loser, Sami said he has no problem starting from the bottom, but vows to win the title during their next match.
JBL announces a Beat The Clock Challenge to determine a new #1 Contender, which Sami will be in.
In a Beat The Clock Challenge, Alexander Rusev (w/Lana) submitted Colin Cassidy in 5:33.
Colin isn't as fun to watch without Enzo, who apparently is injured.
I laughed because Rusev keeps winning his matches in less than a minute and in this match, where the goal is to win as quick as possible, he takes his time and leisurely goes about his match. He did get a bunch of near falls, but all for moves he has never won with, without attempting the Camel Clutch.
Colin actually got to break out of the Camel Clutch once, but the second time Colin was locked in was it, as Rusev sets the time to beat at 5:33.
Backstage Devin Taylor, who is a woman and is not Renee Young, interviewed Adrian Neville. Graves allegedly got a concussion during their match last week. Neville said he is fast and will win in less than 5:33.
After yet another WWE 2K14 commercial Devin asks Bayley about how Charlotte attacked her last week. Bayley is sad because they were best friends and doesn't have the courage to call Charlotte and ask her why. She did say she would punch Charlotte.
In a Winner Leaves WWE/Beat The Clock Match, Kassius Ohno pinned Tyler Breeze in 4:48
I would love to know when Tyler Breeze leaves his summer residence in Milan. I mean even Ted DiBiase moved at some point. Plus two weeks ago Ohno did not lose a Loser Leaves WWE Match to Luke Harper.
Now that Ohno has been fired, I wonder if they will ever show that Kassius Ohno & Antonio Cesaro vs Seth Rollins & CM Punk dark match from last year.
Alex Riley comments that we didn't see a whole lot of pinfall attempts in the last match. Were we watching two different matches? Asian Ref kept stopping Breeze from trying to leave so he could roll Ohno into the ring, which killed 10 seconds. Mr. Regal screamed about asking why Breeze wouldn't just leave Kassius outside the ring for the count out.
Kassius....won. After a fury of back and forth near falls, Ohno won with a roll up.
Hunico and Camacho beat Two Guys
Todd Ordigan and Chris Rockwell I think are the names of the losers. Byron Saxton is breaking kayfabe by saying Hunico was injured instead of pointing out that he was shipped off to Mexico and Camacho needed $5,000 to break him out of Mexico. And as I type that Hunico gave one of them a Swanton Bomb and won in about 20 seconds.
Devin gets more tv time as she interviews Hunico and Camacho, whose promo was shorter than their match as they said they wanted to face Ascension.
We get yet another new backstage interviewer. Dan Ovone, I think, and he interviewed the recently fired Kassius Ohno. Ohno heard a lot of good things about Ovone. Ohno said that sooner or later, he will challenge for the NXT Title.
In walked Lana who was pissed that Ohno beat Rusev's time. Ohno said that when he wins the NXT Title that Rusev can have the first shot....Jesus Christ this isn't Ohno's last match.
In a Beat The Clock Match, Adrian Neville pinned Aiden English in 4:45
Aiden's song this week is a take off of the 525,600 minutes song from Rent.
This match was sorta meh and followed the story of the first match where the announcers were far more excited and encouraging the wrestlers on than the audience were and the wrestlers didn't compete like they were trying to beat the time, at least until the finish.
With ten seconds left, Aiden tried a superplex, which Neville reversed, dropped English on the mat and won with the Red Arrow.
Ascension accepted Hunico and Camacho's challenge.
In the final Beat The Clock Match, Sami Zayn pinned Leo Kruger in 4:44, which somehow made a tie with Adrian Neville's 4:45.
